Switching Pay as you go tariff
If you’d like to switch to a different Pay as you go tariff, we’ve got a couple of great options for you:
- Switch to our Pay as you go with free credit tariff, which gives you triple credit on top-ups of £10, £15 and £20 each month.
To switch to one of our Pay as you go tariffs, just:
- Log into your My Tesco Mobile account

- Go to "My Tariff" and select the tariff you’d like to change to.
- Or call 282 free from your Tesco Mobile phone and follow the prompts.
- Or change to our Pay monthly Capped tariff, which offers great Pay monthly value with the control of Pay as you go. You’ll get a monthly allowance of calls, texts and data. If you use all your minutes, texts or data before the end of the month, then you can just top-up as if on Pay as you go, meaning your bill will never be more than you expect. The good news is you’ll only get capped on the part of the allowance you’ve used up. So just because you’ve used up all your minutes doesn’t mean you have to stop texting.

Pay monthly Capped
If you’re on Pay as you go or Pay monthly, but would like to switch to our Pay monthly Capped option, then please call our Customer Care team on 4455.
Our Pay monthly Capped tariff offers great Pay monthly value with the control of Pay as you go. If you use all your minutes, texts or data before the end of the month, then you can just top-up as if on Pay as you go, meaning your bill will never be more than you expect. The good news is you’ll only get capped on the part of the allowance you’ve used up. So just because you’ve used up all your minutes doesn’t mean you have to stop texting.
PLEASE NOTE:
- It can take up to 24 hours to move you onto the new tariff, but we'll text when it's been done.
- If you're an existing customer on either our Pay as you go Lite or one of our Pay monthly tariffs, you won't be able to switch in My Tesco Mobile. Please call our Customer Care team on 4455 from your Tesco Mobile phone to switch tariffs.

Pay monthly tariffs
If you’re on a Pay monthly handset or 12 month SIM only contract, you can switch phone and tariff once you come to the end of your contract.
- Call 4422 free from your Tesco Mobile phone to upgrade your phone or tariff.
If you’re not sure when your contract ends, then you can log into your online Pay monthly account to check the date that you took your contract out and how long you’ve signed up for .
