Setting up your phone
If you're already a Tesco Mobile customer your phone is already set up to work while you're abroad - just switch it on when you arrive and use it as normal.
There's no need to add the UK country code, just dial as normal, plus the numbers in your phonebook will work just fine too.
If you're abroad and are unable to use your phone, please call our Customer Care team on +44 845 301 4455.

Topping-up
If you’re a Pay as you go or Capped customer, we recommend you top-up before you go away. Don’t forget, if you’re on Capped then you won’t be able to use your phone unless you top-up as international usage isn’t included in your monthly allowance. Just call 4444 free of charge from your handset or to find out more click here.
Useful numbers whilst you're abroad
Picking up voicemail:
- Pay monthly: If you're a Pay monthly customer, you’ll not be charged for any voicemails left on your mobile while you're in the EU.
- Pay as you go customers: You'll be charged for using the voicemail service, even if you don’t listen to the full message. These charges will be credited back to your account within 8 hours.
If you have any problems making or receiving calls while you're abroad, you can call Customer Care from a fixed-line on +44 845 301 4455.

Data cap and fair use policy
We cap the amount you're charged for mobile internet browsing abroad at £40 per month.
This means that no matter how much you browse the internet in any given month whilst abroad, you’ll never be charged more than £40.
If you’re in the EU, this means you’ll be able to use up to 80MB for £40. Find out more info on our call charges.
If you're in Region 2, 3 or 4 however, you’ll be able to use 6.9MB for £40. Find out more info on our call charges.
If you reach the £40 data limit, we’ll place a bar on your phone so that you don’t incur any further charges. To remove this bar and accept further charges log in to your Pay monthly account or call Customer Care on 4455 from your Tesco Mobile phone or +44 845 301 4455 from any other phone.
Please note, this policy only applies to Pay monthly customers and not Pay as you go or Pay monthly Capped customers.
